The girl by the street

D'neve was raised by her foster parents when she was very young, her parents were unknown even though her foster parents told her they were powerful wizards who perished during the battle at Orr.
At the age of fourteen, she left the house and made her living on the streets, it was then where she was met Hope.

The little things: Planning how long will I take to complete the dailies

The first intuitive things after I log on to my character is to peek at the daily achievements task available.
Subconsciously, my minds begin to plan how much time I will be spending to complete the list of different task and base on the task difficulty level.

That is one powerful Blooms skill to master for a child~ I wondered where did I learnt it from?
The game has inevitably taught us how to plan while we are engaged and as we learnt the game itself.

As a student begin to question about their given task, the next step is to ask them where can they locate and access the information, how much time do they need to complete this task, can it be rushed?

Renown heart task

Getting your character all the way from level one to eighty requires a lot of time, work, and, of course, experience. However, Guild Wars 2 allows you to earn that xp in a lot of different ways, allowing you to more fully enjoy your own particular playstyle.Guild Wars 2 Hub offers you this guide detailing the varied ways of earning xp in Guild Wars 2.
There are a number of daily achievements that a player can do to rack up some xp. These include doing a number of events, gathering a certain amount of resources, killing a specific number of creatures, and killing a number of creature species. These achievements reset each day so you can gain this xp every day.

Regarding 21st Century Learning, the above system from the game have done it so well, a single task of helping the farmer, the player have the choice to decide which activities he wants to engage in.
This is customized playstyle according to the player.
To translate this into education, a single learning objective should be able to allow students to engage in different activities but achieve the one outcome.
Activities planned needs to be student centered and allow grading or evaluation to be done not based on just one test or quiz.

The Journey Begins

This blog is about how along my journey in Guild War 2 adventures helps me re-discover learning in 21st Century and shapes my pedagogy in teaching and learning.
This blog will tells of great stories how the in game elements reflects about how a 21st century learner can benefits from the activities. I attempt to rebuild my lesson using the game elements found in Guild War 2 and redesign a learner centric educational contents.

Crippled by Fear, Carried by Love

Hi, came back from mission trip :) served a small village in Kedah at Lunas Gospel mission church. So blessed by the youth serving with us. The children there are kampong kids, very independent, my encounter with a primary six girl who have to skip school to work at a coffee shop makes the trip meaningful. I encourage her to attend church regularly.
Yesterday, Pastor Bobby shared about Mephibosheth.
How he was cripple but yet because of God's kindness, he was brought to the king's table and ate there.
It spoke to me about what I have been thinking.
Hearing about swat  uninvitably brings uncertainty and fear. This fear has since crippled me in my decision making. After last night reading and meditating, being crippled isnt that bad either, like Mephibosheth, his immobility prevent him from running away or fight against David. His response when brought in front of David was to cry out, " Your servant !".
I can associate myself with him, my indecision crippled me, but I should be thanking God because that means He will carry me through. My attitude towards Him should be submission and servanthood.
Before my interview, joyce told me to seek God for a revelaton, matthew 6:33 came to my mind, and i read it particularly from Nirv version,
“But put God’s kingdom first. Do what he wants you to do. Then all of those things will also be given to you.
I choose to obey inspite of the crippling situation, i can depend and trust God for His provision.
Can I go for swat class, there is no right time, i am ready.

Yours faithfully
Trustin neo

The fallen kingdom..

It's name long forgotten, ruled by a wise and fair king who was much beloved. And when he grew old he divided the kingdom among his four sons. That they should be the pillars on which their piece of land rested. But the oldest prince wanted to rule the land for himself, he followed his own path and the kingdom fell, from war and chaos and ruin.

Legends are lessons and they ring with truths.
